still in Ireland... completely random post

So I am still in Ireland and this is a completely random post.

My little macbook died, well the hard drive is not so happy at the moment and I have been trawling the net trying to find where I have uploaded the photos I have taken over the last year and half... What do I find my little blog and some of my photos!!! I haven't lost everything, still lost a fair bit but hopefully the shop I'm taking it to will recover them.

I can't believe the last post I did was in December 2007.

Lots has happened, moved flats, same job different team, more traveling and a new laptop :)

Halloween

this is my tribute to halloween, a pumpkin candle that changes colour

And once again, my parents are better then the best, they are the bestest in the world. Two 1 kilo tins of Milo and a packet of Twisties - I'm in heaven....

And thank you to Andrea for kindly driving me round to get a funky hoover, the exploding glass has been cleaned up and I can safely roam around my flat again.

times and exploding glasses

clocks went back today, so now I'm 11 hours behind ozland :(

Trying to get into the city and the darts are delayed, so I'm going to go a little later now, I come back home and give myself a quick fringe cut, walk back into the kitchen and a glass that was on the drainer decided to randomly explode and my hoover has broken...

my day so far.

It's getting darker

it's dark until 8am and it gets dark about 6.30pm... I'm not liking this, the clocks go back this weekend and it will be even darker... sigh.

I got a busted finger too.

Oh well I got cocktail night on Thursday to look forward to :D

The year is nearly over

Wow. Can you believe it's only 2 months to Chrissy. This year has been quick in some respects but long in others, when I think that it was only in February I left Australia yet it feels like a life time away and then I think about when I will be back home and it probably won't be till November next year, that feels like a life time away as well.

I'm looking forward to going to Budapest and I'm researching Greece, as I would like to go there in the New Year and also Prague.

Otherwise same ol, same ol has been happening. Working, drinking, eating etc....

Guinness Factory

HUGE WASTE OF TIME.... I was so disappointed in that place. This picture was about the most exciting thing there. The waterfall. Why you ask was I not impressed? For someone who is petrified of heights, having the lifts and escalators made of glass jutting out over the middle of nothing doesn't make for an enjoyable time. That is after spending way to much freakin time queuing to get in and then queuing forever for a ticket.

Anyway after leaving that, here some shots of lovely Dublin. The famous Stag's Head.

The River Liffey. I think that is a crane on the right of the picture, the Dublin skyline is full of cranes, what they are building, I have no idea but there are heaps of them.

I have no idea what these are but I named them goblins.

I have been sick today, some sort of stomach bug, poor little tummy :( I pretty much just sat at work and did not move from my chair all day, I'm trying very hard not to go to bed and collapse but I don't think I will be able to hold out for much longer.

I'm going to get the train down to Waterford County and have a look round there soon and then look at going to Galway, everyone says it is gorgeous that way.
